Ezekiel Elliott's Six-Game Suspension Got Reinstated And People Are Saying The Cowboys' Season Is Over

"Damn, he's suspended and we've already lost two games."

Ezekiel Elliott will serve his six-game suspension after all.

On Thursday, a federal appeals court paved the way for the NFL to carry out its original six-game suspension of the Dallas Cowboys' star running back over domestic violence accusations, as reported by ESPN. The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel in New Orleans reached that ruling via a 2-1 decision, granting the NFL's emergency request to lift an injunction to reinstate the suspension.

Since the Cowboys are on their bye week, Elliott, 22, will begin serving the six-game suspension next Sunday (October 22), when the Cowboys face the San Francisco 49ers on the road, and will be able to return Week 13, when the team hosts Washington.

Although Elliott can still appeal this decision and his attorney, Frank Salzano, told ESPN that "we are currently exploring all of our legal options," the general consensus is that the rusher will have to serve his suspension the same way Tom Brady had to do last year.

That being said, Zeke's suspension has Twitter blasting "America's Team" without mercy by saying the Cowboys' season is over with these zero-chill reactions.

  • Upon learning of Zeke's suspension being reinstated, Cowboys fans were like ...

    Life hits you fast.

  • Others took it like this ...
