Ja Rule Claps Back After 50 Cent Suggests IG Battle Between Him And Snoop Dogg

Fifty told Big Boy that he didn’t feel Ja’s catalog was up to par with his.

Rap superstar 50 Cent’s comments that a rap battle between himself and Snoop Dogg made more sense than one with Ja Rule didn’t go unnoticed by Fif’s longtime hip-hop rival.

  • “He don’t want that pressure…? And Snoop our [sic] ya league, bra!!” the “Livin’ It Up” MC wrote in the comments under 50 Cent’s recent interview on Big Boy’s Neighborhood, along with two laughing crying emojis.

  • The response came after Fif told Big Boy that he didn’t feel Ja’s catalog was up to par with his.

“Look, it would make more sense, catalog-wise, me and Snoop,” 50 Cent said during the interview. “And it’s just because we’d definitely be able to compete every step of the way.”

Fif and Ja have long had one of the longest-running beefs in hip-hop, one that reportedly stretches back 20 years and has included diss’ tracks, major pranks and even a physical altercation or two.

“Ja Rule? He got like five, six duets. The hit records are all him and Jennifer Lopez, him and Mary J. Blige, him and Ashanti. Him and a woman, a female. All the records. He got one song by himself, ‘Holla, Holla,’” 50 Cent further explained.

“They’re all doable records but they're someone else's,” he continued, pointing to Ja’s sampling Stevie Wonder’s 1982 song “Do I Do” for his track, “Livin’ It Up.”

  • Ja Rule first proposed a match between him  and 50 Cent in March, which the “In Da Club” rapper promptly shut down. After the two Queens rappers traded some verbal jabs online, Ja later signaled that his interest had waned in an interview with HOT 97.

“I would never want to disrespect the culture, and let me and his little thing get into the love and respect that Verzuz has brought into the culture for artist’s catalogs and artistry,” he told the radio show. “I would never want to tarnish that or mess that up.”
