Cassidy Reportedly Arrested For Weed Possession

Police found a baggie of weed and a grinder.

Cassidy was reportedly arrested in Jersey City, New Jersey, on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 19), TMZ reports. The Philly rapper was reportedly detained after authorities discovered marijuana in his vehicle.

The “I’m A Hustla” artist was reportedly lounging in a parked van outside of his home when cops approached the vehicle. The officers allegedly smelled a strong odor of weed, which prompted them to search the rapper and his van.

They reportedly found a single baggie of weed and a grinder (a device sued to crush up the weed), according to the police report obtained by TMZ. Cassidy was then booked for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

While in police custody, law enforcement also discovered that the “Hotel” rapper has an outstanding warrant in another county for the exact same offense. So now Cassidy will reportedly have to appear in court for two separate charges.

Hopefully Cassidy will not have to face the same harsh punishments as Meek Mill, who was recently sent to prison for several years over various offenses. But the moral of the story here is: don’t smoke in a parked car. Cassidy’s court dates have not been set as of yet.
