Tracee Ellis Ross Chooses Style Over Money in a Partner
Tracee Ellis Ross has always been about confidence, independence, and, of course, impeccable style. So when The People Gallery caught up with her during Milan Fashion Week, she had no problem keeping it real when asked about what matters more in a partner—style or funds.
“Oh, style over funds,” she responded without hesitation. “Well, first of all, because style is about how you do. How you live. Your kindness is a style, so that’s more important to me than funds, the “Girlfriends” star explained, but teasingly adding, “But I think funds work.”
And while financial security is great, Ross clarified that she’s not out here looking for a sponsor. “But I have my own funds. I’m looking for an emotional partner. I’m not looking for a man to pay my bills. I’m not looking for a bag.”
It’s no surprise that the “Black-ish” star values substance over status. Whether she’s making bold fashion choices on the red carpet or speaking on self-worth, Ross has always embodied the idea that true style—and love—goes far beyond material things.
