E-40: Too Short and I Were Banned From Rock the Bells Show

The city of Mountain View, CA, won’t let the Bay Area legends perform.

E-40 and Too Short have brought a California flavor to this year's multi-city Rock the Bells festival, but the two proud Cali natives won't be able to perform at one of the show's stops in their own state. According to E-40, he and Short have been banned from taking the stage next weekend in Mountain View.

"I'm not even going to be there. For some reason, the city of Mountain View won't let E-40 and Too Short perform," he said in a recent interview with Fuse. The Bay Area artist said he didn't know the reasoning behind the ban and that whoever enacted it had declined to share.

"They can't even give us an excuse or nothing. They can't say nothing. They don't even know why they won't let us perform. I'm putting it on that the city of Mountain View won't let Too Short and E-40 perform. Anyway, they don't want us performing on our own soil, man."

Last weekend, both E-40 and Too Short rocked the stage at the San Bernadino stop of the festival. Other performers scheduled for the Mountain View stop include Nas, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Method Man and Redman, Kid Cudi, ASAP Rocky and more.
