Lloyd’s Onstage Fall During Birmingham Show Sparks Viral Moment and Playful Response
Lloyd had a small slip onstage during his Friday (Nov. 21) show in Birmingham, Alabama.
While performing “Girls Around the World,” the R&B singer was dancing and hitting his choreography and appeared to catch his foot, sending him forward and landing face-first, as seen in fan-shot videos circulating on social media.
He quickly rolled onto his back while his team hurried over, but he brushed it off with a laugh and finished the song like the pro he is.
After the show, the “You” singer took a moment to address the mishap directly and explain what actually went down.
“I tripped. I was doing my signature slide — it’s the coolest, smoothest thing in the show.”
He even shared slow-motion replays of the moment the performer hit the stage, joking, “I crashed, bro, and I feel like all my cool points just went out the window.”
The entertainer admitted that when he takes a tumble, he can’t just pop back up like nothing happened.
“Whenever I fall, I gotta lay there, bro,” he said. “I can’t just jump up and act like it didn’t happen. I gotta lay in it. That’s why they ran out there.”

His caption kept the humor going: “Cuffing Season Tour got me out here falling for Birmingham… face first.”
In a follow-up comment, the chart-topper leaned into the moment even more: “I can’t believe this. It almost feels karmic. And right when everybody was hyping me — ‘He looks so nice,’ ‘His mic was ON,’ ‘I love him in a suit,’ ‘The show was rocking’… gravity brought me right back down to earth.”
Still, the R&B storyteller closed with a little wisdom: “There’s nothing more embarrassing than falling in front of a bunch of people, but there’s nothing better than being able to laugh at yourself and not be so serious all the time.”
