Lil Wayne is back in the loop with his old Young Money crew, and may be falling back into bad habits as well.
According to TMZ, Weezy is back on the promethazine/codeine concoction known as lean. The rumor is worrisome since the rapper reportedly quit the recreational drug nearly three years ago after he OD’d on syrup and suffered multiple seizures. 
Sources close to Wayne say the Louisiana rapper started back up on lean a few months ago and has been bringing his iconic double cup everywhere he goes. He was even photographed with it while in Dubai, where there is zero tolerance for the illegal substance.
In 2013, Wayne told Katie Couric in an interview that he had kicked the habit, but the highly addictive substance is known to be a hard drug to quit completely.  In a 2008 interview Wayne said that syrup “feels like death in your stomach when you stop.” Wayne continued, “Everybody wants me to stop all this and all that. It ain’t that easy.”
Hopefully the rumor is just that — a rumor.
