Tyrese's Short Film, Shame, to Premiere at Urbanworld

Jennifer Hudson stars in the Denzel Washington-produced flick.

New York audiences will soon be treated to a world-premiere screening of Tyrese Gibson's short film, Shame. The musical drama, which stars Jennifer Hudson and is produced by Denzel Washington, will premiere at the 19th annual Urbanworld Film Festival.
Shame chronicles the story of up-and-coming soul singer Lionel Jacobs (Gibson), who is married to his background singer Bobbi Ann (Hudson). Jacobs tries to pursue his career dreams while battling drugs and alcohol, and fighting to take care of his family. A conversation with Gibson will follow after the September 26 screening.
“I strive to create art across all mediums that support and showcase our diverse landscape,” says Gibson. “Urbanworld is the perfect partner as they actively and significantly do the same.”
