For Colored Girls Premiere
Nine women share their struggles and experiences.
Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls is based on Ntozake Shange's critically acclaimed African-American feminist play For Colored Girls Who Have Committed Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuff. The movie tells the story of nine different African-American women and their struggles with racism, sexism and abuse.
The movie stars Phylicia Rashad (The Cosby Show), Janet Jackson, Kerry Washington, Thandie Newton, Whoopi Golberg and Kimberly Elise. The movie deals with several issues such as down-low homosexuality, physical abuse, abortion, rape, incest and murder. Tune in Saturday, March 30 at 7:30P/6:30C for the premiere.
