Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson Reportedly Conflict Over Daughter’s Education
Actors Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson have met a resolve involving their divorce.
The ex-spouses, who married in 2019 and separated in 2023, utilized a mediator to create a temporary split custody schedule for their 4-year-old daughter, Juno. According to People, Turner-Smith and Jackson have also hammered out details regarding the “Doctor Odyssey” star paying $2,787 in child support and a large lump sum for spousal support, instead of monthly payments.
While the exes have been amicable over the care of their daughter, they haven’t yet reached an agreement over where Juno will be attending school. In a declaration obtained by People, after Turner-Smith and Jackson attended a “full-day mediation” with a judge last May where Juno’s “temporary custody issues” were agreed upon, the former spouses had gotten “into a Stipulation and Order to resolve the issue of selection of Juno’s school.”
The “Queen & Slim” actress wrote that she has “clear authority to make the school selection in Juno’s best interest,” while her ex-husband is “refusing to adhere to the terms of the Stipulation and Order and is depriving me of the right to select the school.”
Following “consistent efforts to meet and confer with Josh in good faith,” Turner-Smith alleged that her ex-husband “never intended to honor” her school selection. The actress now seeks $75,000 in attorney fees.
Last December, Turner Smith claimed that Jackson failed to provide financial security for her and their daughter, although “he understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother.”
