Plies' 2006 Lawsuit Dismissed

A lawsuit filed against Atlantic Records artist, Plies has been dropped.

The civil lawsuit derives from a shooting incident at a concert in Gainsville, Florida that left five concertgoers injured back in 2006. The show also featured Lil Boosie.

According to Florida authorities, Plies' entourage fired several rounds into the crowd at Club 238 where the rapper was performing. Though Plies pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a firearm and was sentenced to probation, he didn't fire any shots during the incident.

However, Plies' brother, Ronell "Big Gates" Lavatte, served three years behind bars since he was already a convicted felon. Lavatte was released in 2009.
