Victoria Monét Is Cooking Up A New Album and A New Side Quest
Victoria Monét is adding chef to her resume!
The Grammy-winning singer revealed she’s “halfway through” culinary school. The up and coming chef has launched a new Instagram series called Saucy Sundays where she’ll be sharing her chef journey, recipes, and cooking tips with fans.
She posted a clip to her Instagram and said, “I started culinary school. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do.” Monét then invited fans to follow the journey on her @itschefmonet account.
This is Monét’s love letter to family recipes and the way food “makes people feel when they’re communing together,” she also said. Monét told viewers, “I’m excited to learn with you guys!” She then explained that her new series will spotlight sauces and techniques she’s passionate about. “I’m a huge fan of sauce and how you sauce up a meal. It can make or break the flavor of the food,” Monét shared.
But not to worry, Monét’s music isn’t taking a back seat. Chef Monét assured fans that she’s still in the studio “cooking” her next album. She told Ciara on “The Level Up” podcast that she’s “trying to make a Thriller next!”
“I just really want the best vocals. My creative process for my album has changed a little bit,” she added.
The delicious announcement follows a big run for Monét. After dropping Jaguar II in 2023 and later a deluxe edition, she’s kept momentum with singles like the Usher-assisted “SOS (Sex on Sight)” and even a children’s book, “Everywhere You Are.” The culinary pivot shows how Monét is expanding her brand, blending music and motherhood, and now food, while promising fans both fresh recipes and new music to come.
