Kendrick Perkins Involved in Domestic Altercation With Wife

Police are investigating roadside incident.

A Wednesday morning roadside altercation between Cleveland Cavaliers center Kendrick Perkins and his wife, Vanity, is currently being investigated by Ohio police.

According to an ESPN report, a 911 caller reported that a man and woman were arguing near a parked car on the side of the road in Westlake, Ohio, hours after the Cavs defeated the Chicago Bulls in Game 5 of their playoff series on Tuesday night. When police arrived to the scene, they found Perkins and his wife waiting by the vehicle.

There were no injuries nor arrests or citations, cops also told ESPN, however a full police report will be completed by Thursday. At that time, it will be determined whether police will file charges or not.

"There is somebody having an altercation on the side of the road," the caller says in the 911 recording, obtained by ESPN. "It looks like a woman is hitting the man and he's trying to get out of the car. They're parked on the side of the road. It looks like he was trying to get out and the person, which I think was a woman, was trying to pull him back, like grabbing him and pulling him back in [the car]."

Upon learning about this, a day before Cleveland faces Chicago in Game 6 on Thursday night, the Cavs released the following media statement.

"We have spoken to Kendrick about this and understand he has cooperated fully with the authorities in their review of the situation and will continue to do so. We respect the process that the Westlake authorities will undergo in relation to this and have no further comment to make about the situation at this time."
