Mannie Fresh And Scott Storch Will Battle On Instagram Live Tonight
Update (04/01/20): Scott Storch and T-Pain were originally slated to go head-to-head in a beat battle broadcast via Instagram Live. However, there’s been a change of plans.
Instead of T-Pain, Scott will be going up against another hip-hop heavyweight. Swizz Beatz (who co-coordinated the soundclash along with Timbaland) took to Instagram where he made the announcement. “Attention. We have a change of plans for tonight!!! We now have [Mannie Fresh] vs. [Scott Storch] 9 p.m. EST on Live. Let’s the games begin!!!!!”
In a second video addressing, Swizz explained his and Timb’s reasoning behind the last minute switch. “One, we listened to the people. Two, we realized that T-Pain is more a songwriter, although he produces as well,” Swizz acknowledged. “So, we got another battle coming up for him that y’all gonna love. But, Scott Storch and Mannie Fresh, that’s like a clash of the titans.”

Original story: The month of March was marked by Instagram Live battles from a number of our favorite, artists, producers and singer-songwriters that have been keeping us entertained amid social distancing protocols and self-quarantine.
Following Timbaland and Swizz Beatz’s epic duel, the Twitterverse is losing its mind over the latest match-up that has been announced to kick off the month of April: Scott Storch versus T-Pain.
On Tuesday (March 31), both superproducers took to social media where they revealed that Timb and Swizz had contacted them individually and presented them with the opportunity.
Apparently, Timb and Swizz took it upon themselves to coordinate the match after seeing how many people tuned in for their IG Live battle. Scott and T-Pain are slated to face-off against each other Wednesday night (April 1) at 8 p.m. To up the ante ahead of their match, the two exchanged public messages with each other about the upcoming match.
“Scott, you don’t want the smoke,” T-Pain warned. “You betta get ready buddy.”
Scott accepted the challenge head-on.
“Yo, Pain. I know you got some s**t. I know you got some fire but I got some fire, too,” the super-producer issued. “See you tomorrow night.”
Their upcoming battle quickly swarmed into hot Twitter debates as the hip-hop community chimed in with their assessment on the match-up and placed their bets for the winner of tonight’s sdownhow. However, if the one name on the trending topics list is anything to go by, the internet’s unanimous vote points to one clear winner.
“T-Pain is so slept on even w all his skills ..plus he got soo many legit big hits, but [to] go against Scott Storch?????????” one user weighed in.
“Somebody set T-Pain up. This isn’t a clash, this is a homicide. Scott Storch is gonna wig him live on Instagram. Do you know how many hits Scott Storch has? Scott who lost $100 million then made it all back? Ah ah,” a second user chimed in. “T-Pain, say your wifi is down or you broke your phone or suttin’.”
And, it appears T-Pain is feeling the heat as well.
“This boy [Scott Storch] ‘bout to curb stomp me,” T-Pain joked on Twitter. Regardless, he is still looking forward to tonight’s match. “Win or lose, I’m honored to be a part of the biggest thing happening right now. Tune in and celebrate music history with us! S**t gon be fun regardless. Thank you…”
