Kyrie Irving Gives Great Answer When Reporter Asks If LeBron James Is Father Figure
Kyrie Irving may view LeBron James as a big brother...but a father figure? No.
The Cleveland Cavaliers' All-Star point guard couldn't believe his ears Monday, when a reporter asked him what type of "parental role" that King James has had for the team.
"Parental role? I really don't know how to answer that question," Irving said almost in disbelief. "He's been a great leader for us. I have one father. That's my dad, Drederick Irving. But for us, in terms of learning for us and how to win and also how we carry ourselves off the court, he has also been a great influence for us in that way."
That was definitely one of the strangest questions you'll ever hear...but we think Kyrie handled it the best way he could.
Irving, James and the Cavs will begin their Eastern Conference Finals series with the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night.
