Jimmy Henchman Sentenced to Second Life Term, Plus 20 Years

Former music manager goes down in murder-for-hire of G-Unit affiliate Lowell Fletcher.

James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond was sentenced to a second life term plus 20 years Tuesday (March 24) in the murder-for-hire of Lowell FletcherJudge Colleen McMahon admonished the former hip hop mogul for “heinous,” “vile” and “disgusting” crimes, reports the Associated Press.

Henchman was previously sentenced to life for drug trafficking. In December 2014 he was found guilty in Fletcher’s 2009 death.

The former G-Unit affiliate was ambushed out of retaliation for slapping Henchman’s teenage son, prosecutors argued. Fletcher and Tony Yayo assaulted the then 14-year-old boy during the height of Henchman’s rivalry with 50 Cent

After three failed hits on 50 and G-Unit, Henchman put the plan to kill Fletcher into play. According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Samson Enzer, he commissioned Brian “Slim” McCleod to kill Fletcher in exchange for $30,000 worth of cocaine. McCleod, an associate of the victim, lured him to a Bronx street corner not long after his prison release for attacking Henchman’s son. Another man, Derrick “D” Grant, reportedly shot Fletcher, while Henchman cohort Rodney Johnson supervised.

Henchman is the former CEO of Czar Entertainment, a music management company that once counted Sean Kington, Brandy and ex G-Unit member Game among its roster. is your #1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
