Love Him: OITNB’s Matt McGorry Slams Iggy Azalea and Beyoncé Haters

The actor isn't here for "reverse racism."

Orange Is the New Black star Matt McGorry — a.k.a. "Woke Bae" — has something to say to Iggy Azalea and all the other white women who have opinions about Beyoncé's Black-centric visual album, Lemonade.

Particularly referencing one of the most quotable lines from the visual album — "You better call Becky with the good hair" — Matt says white women shouldn't be offended because there really is no such thing as reverse racism.

While the How to Get Away With Murder star and outspoken feminist was leaving The Nightly Show in New York City, the TMZ photographers asked him if he had a problem with Bey referring to white women as "Beckys" and his response was pretty thorough and direct:

"I think there's no reverse racism. I think it's not a real thing. I think what seems as a lighthearted joke goes one way and isn't lighthearted the other way," he said. "Black women are stereotyped in such broad sweeping strokes to begin with — as a matter of fact, their lives on a daily basis. White women aren't as subjected to that when it comes to the race issues. When in general, sure. The same way there's no such thing as reverse sexism, white people's lives are not ultimately terribly affected other than their feelings hurt from being called racist."

Iggy Azalea was recently stung by the Beyhive after saying stereotypes are offensive regardless of which race is on the receiving end. We'd say Matt definitely schooled her on that theory.
