Hip Hop Awards ‘20: Lil Baby And 42 Dugg Set The Stage Ablaze With High-Octane ‘We Paid’ Performance

The Atlanta rapper made sure to remind people to get out and vote.

Lil Baby has been on fire this year and he brought that same energy to the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday (October 27).

  • The breakout Atlanta rap star took the stage with 42 Dugg for a performance of their summer anthem, “We Paid.” The single, released last May on the deluxe edition of Lil Baby’s Billboard-topping sophomore album, My Turn, peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  So, it was only fitting that the two entertainers brought that same energy to their fans tonight.

  • 42 Dugg kicked off the set from atop a scaffolding with a group of female dancers decked out in black leather ensembles. Launching into his opening verses, he made his way down to the main stage while flames burned in the background. Lil Baby emerged from off-screen to take over the track.

Both rappers were dressed in a matching black tees and jeans combo with nod to Lil Baby’s 4PF crew. At one point during their performance, Lil Baby transitioned to performing in front of a wall of money, the perfect backdrop for the braggadocious single. The electrifying performance closed out with Lil Baby and 42 Dugg reminding people to get out and vote on November 3.

Check out their performance and reactions to it below.
