Kim Kardashian Finishes Law Study Program With Private Ceremony
After a six-year stretch, Kim Kardashian finished law school strong.
‘The Kardashians’ star and business mogul was surprised with a backyard ceremony on Wednesday, May 21, attended by some of her friends and family members, including sisters Kourtney Kardashian Barker and Khloé Kardashian. In her Instagram Stories, Kardashian posted a video of herself putting on a graduation cap while seated on a makeshift outdoor stage, while CNN’s Van Jones and attorney Jessica Jackson also gave remarks. “I finally graduated law school after six years!!!” Kardashian wrote over a video of herself.
"It's an absolute honor to stand here today, not just as mentors, but as witnesses to one of the most inspiring legal journeys we've ever seen," said Jackson, per People. The lawyer, who’s also one of Kardashian’s educational sponsors, added that Kardashian had a “fierce desire to fight for justice” upon entering the program.
“No law school lectures, no ivory tower shortcuts, just determination and a mountain of case log books to read,” she continued.
Although Kardashian hadn’t attended college, the SKIMS co-founder was eager to follow in the footsteps of her late father, Robert Kardashian, in becoming a lawyer. After taking an apprenticeship at a law firm in San Francisco in 2018, three years later, Kardashian passed the baby bar exam on her fourth try.
On March 27, Kardashian reportedly completed the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE), a requirement for those preparing to take the bar exam and a necessity to practice law in California.
