Drake Pays Homage to Jamie Foxx for Teaching Him How to Perform

He's a good person to learn from.

Drake’s known to pay homage to people he really respects and admires. He did it all throughout his Summer 16 tour by bringing out location-based stars during his sets.

The Toronto native also likes to post pictures and videos to Instagram of those who inspire him and yesterday (October 6) did so with actor and singer Jamie Foxx.

Drizzy claims Foxx is the one who taught him how to perform and command a stage presence. He also says as a fan of his, Foxx helped teach him how to draw a crowd into a performance.

“I learned how to perform on stage watching The Foxx Box,” Drake captioned under a video of a Jamie Foxx singing/piano-playing set. “This man made people laugh, made people feel connected and engaged, made the room feel small and made people laugh while he bodied a full-blown singing performance. Thank you, Foxx, I just watched this again and wanted to pay homage.”

Well done, Drake. You can sort of see similarities between the two artists even though they’re in different musical genres. Check out Drake’s post about Jamie Foxx below.
