They Mad: People Aren't Happy Beyoncé Is Performing at the CMAs

Why they mad, though?

Beyoncé being announced as a surprise performer at a handful of the music industry's top tier annual award shows is becoming an integral part of her routine this year.

As reported, Bey will grace the stage this evening (November 2) during the 50th Annual Country Music Awards. While the singer preps to get into formation as a part of the evening's festivities, many are taking to Twitter to express their distaste that Queen Bey is performing in the first place.

While typically news of a Beyoncé performance is met with universal celebration and eager anticipation, several die-hard country fans are voicing their objection to the "non-country" singer performing during the annual event.

One user shared a strong reaction to the news on Twitter, going as far as to say, "Keep that s**t out of country music please!"

Regardless of whether or not country fans may be here for Beyoncé or not, as exemplified countless times throughout the genre's history, many artists have the seasoned ability to crossover between genres. As further evidenced by Beyoncé's country-inspired single "Daddy Lessons," she is certainly one of them.

"Daddy Lessons" appeared on her incredibly successful visual album Lemonade. While many cite it as her first officially foray into country music, it is arguable that, if she were to drop an entire country album, she would slay those charts, too.

Take a look at some reactionary tweets, as well as a screengrab of those objecting to Beyoncé's performance, in the posts below.
