“Scary Movie” Is Set To Have A 2025 Reboot, And Regina Hall Better Be In It!

This comedic cult classic is how the world met Regina Hall as a comedic actress. Here are 5 of her best funny roles.

Another day, another reboot. This time, the “Scary Movie” franchise is getting an update. According to reports, “Scary Movie” will return to the big screen by spring 2025. Paramount Pictures is partnering with producer Neal H. Moritz (“Sonic the Hedgehog 3”) for the comedy/horror reboot. It is not confirmed whether or not the original cast, including Regina Hall, will be in the reboot.

For many, “Scary Movie” is the film that introduced Hall’s comedic genius. Her character, Brenda, hilariously demanded the spotlight. Since then, Hall has gone on to star in many comedies, solidifying her as one of the great comedic actresses of our time.

Here are a few must-see Regina Hall comedic roles:

“Girls Trip”:

Hall wasn’t the comedic relief in this film; that role was all Tiffany Haddish, but there was something very refreshing about her character finally getting to let loose and be free by the end of this comedy.

“Little”:

Our girl Regina played the lead alongside young genius Marsai Martin. In fact, they played the same character. Hilarity ensued once Hall’s character woke up as a tween.

“About Last Night”

This is one of the many times we see Hall alongside her comedian best friend, Kevin Hart. When these two get together, just step back and let them improv. The result is comedy gold.

“Honk For Jesus, Save Your Soul”

This may well be one of Hall’s best comedic efforts to date. In this satire, she plays a devoted first lady who not only makes you laugh, but pulls at your heartstrings.

“Insecure”

Playing Ninny in “Due North,” one of “Insecure’s” TV shows that the cast would watch/interact with as a part of the show, Hall is already in a show within a show, but the way she embodied the role of a slave and did so comically made folks wish they could watch “Due North” for real.
