Ice-T Reacts To Speculation That Jamie Foxx Is A ‘Clone’ Following Health Scare

Let’s just say he came to the actor’s defense.

Ice-T is coming to Jamie Foxx’s defense after the actor posted a video of himself providing an update about his health following an extended hospital stay.

In the video, Foxx appeared understandably thinner in the face, considering he had a health scare. The fellow actor responded to a tweet that questioned his appearance, writing: “People would rather believe that Jamie is now a clone or AI, than the man was just seriously sick and damn near died… Cause he doesn't look EXACTLY the same??? YOU look different after a bad cold! Smh weirdos."

In April, Foxx was hospitalized for several weeks for an undisclosed medical complication. That reportedly occurred while filming the Netflix action comedy Back in Action in Georgia and the actor had remained quiet and out of the public eye since. In the Instagram video she shared debunking rumors about his health, he explained that he wanted to stay out of the public eye until he recovered, noting it wasn’t anyone’s business outside his family and friends.

"I just didn't want you to see me like that," Foxx said in the video he posted last week. "I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, a television show. I just didn't want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through."

Though his family kept the hospitalization out of the media as best they could, "being quiet sometimes things get out of hand," Foxx added, saying he "went to hell and back.” "Some people are saying I was blind, but as you can see the eyes are working just fine. They said I was paralyzed — I'm not paralyzed."
