Jim Jones Says Travis Scott Is a Bigger Artist Than Pusha T and Explains Why

The Dipset rapper opens up about why Travis Scott ranks higher in the industry and why he’d still rather listen to Pusha T

Jim Jones is letting the chopper loose and not holding back.

Dipset member Jim Jones recently sat down with “The Art of Dialogue" and weighed in on who he believes is the bigger artist between Travis Scott and Pusha T. Without hesitation, he shared that he feels Travis Scott holds the bigger status.

“Definitely a bigger artist and I’m not taking away from nobody,” he said.

“Out of the two artists…you have to put Travis Scott with the Kendricks, the Drakes, and the Playboy Carti’s. It’s a whole different ballgame being played out there when it comes to the hierarchy of this industry. Some of these n*ggas are on a whole different stratosphere and it’s not taking away from these artists. A blind man can see that.”

To support his point, he explained that while he personally listens to Pusha T’s music more often, he’d be more inclined to attend a Travis Scott concert.

During the interview, he also shares the moments he had to sign some of today’s biggest artists from J. Cole, Drake, and The Weeknd.

“J. Cole used to be in my studio all the time,” he began.

“I can say that wholeheartedly, and then Drake, Alan Grunblatt let me hear some of his music, but I kept telling him that he had no image. I didn’t understand it, it didn’t connect, but he could rap his a** off,” Jones shared and reflected with the outlet.

He recalls when it came to the “Starboy” artist, he was planning on headed to Canada but dealt with the death of rapper, Stack Bundles, and ultimately wasn’t able to secure the deal.
