Judge Orders The Game to Sell Calabasas Home to Satisfy $7M Judgment

The rapper reportedly tried to dodge the payout by hiding assets.

The Game is being forced to part ways with his Calabasas mansion after a judge approved its sale to help satisfy a $7.1 million court judgment against him stemming from a 2016 sexual assault case.

The ruling comes after years of legal back-and-forth between the Compton native and Priscilla Rainey, a former contestant on his VH1 reality dating show “She’s Got Game,” who accused the artist of sexual misconduct during filming.

Rainey claimed The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, assaulted her by forcibly touching her after allegedly getting her drunk and high. When the rapper failed to appear in court, a default judgment was handed down, awarding Rainey $7.13 million.

Yet, despite that ruling, the “Hate It Or Love It” emcee refused to pay the full amount, prompting Rainey to push for the sale of his assets—including the Calabasas home currently listed for $4 million.

The Game argued the property wasn’t technically his, citing ownership under a company called JTT Holdings, where he holds equity. The court ultimately dismissed the claim, determining that JTT Holdings is a shell entity, and cleared the way for the property to be sold.

However, though the sale of the mansion would recover some of the funds, it still leaves a multimillion-dollar gap in the judgment owed.

Throughout the years, The Game has denied any wrongdoing. “Don’t be fooled by these accusations or the dollar amount in the headlines,” he wrote on Instagram in 2016. “This broad ain’t gettin s—t!” He continued, “[Rainey] got kicked off the show & as a result she filed this lame lawsuit which was probably her intentions before the show was ever even started.”

To date, Rainey has managed to collect nearly $400,000 from The Game’s music royalties. Still, she has continued pressing the courts and reportedly even hired private investigators to serve legal papers to the artist.

The Game has yet to publicly respond to the most recent court order.
