Held at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater, the ceremony was packed with emotional tributes, history-making performances, and breakout moments that had the culture talking. While legends like Usher were honored for decades of impact, it was South African star Tyla who stole the spotlight, proving that the next generation of global Black talent is not only ready but already running the show.

Tyla captivated audiences with her electrifying performance of "Jump," featuring Gunna and Skillibeng. Her dynamic stage presence and choreography paid homage to her South African roots and her dedicated fanbase, the Tygers. The performance concluded with her signature "Water" dance move, leaving the crowd in awe.

In addition to her performance, Tyla secured two major awards: Best New Artist and Best International Act. These accolades underscore her rapid ascent in the global music scene and her influence as a trailblazer for African artists.​

Victoria Monét's Stellar Performances: Monét delivered powerful renditions of "On My Mama" and "Alright," marking her debut on the BET Awards main stage.

Usher's Lifetime Achievement Tribute:

An all-star lineup, including Childish Gambino and Teyana Taylor, honored Usher's illustrious career with a series of performances that had the audience on their feet. ​

Lauryn Hill's Surprise Appearance:

The legendary Lauryn Hill closed the show with a surprise set, joined by her son YG Marley and Wyclef Jean, delivering a nostalgic and powerful performance. ​
