After four decades in the film business, Harrison Ford is a living legend himself. But the actor got a chance to play one of the most game-changing men in sports history in 42, a biopic of Jackie Robinson. 
As Branch Rickey, a general manager who takes a chance on a young Black ball player at a time when non-whites weren't even allowed on the field, Ford had to recall his own childhood in Civil Rights-era Chicago, where racial tension was at a peak. 
In our exclusive interview, Ford talks to us about growing up in the middle of a sea change in America, his first impressions of Robinson when he was a child and what drew him to his role in 42.
