Look: 'Fluent In Ghetto,' Outrage After Cop Posts Racist Memes About Michelle Obama

Here's what happened to the hateful Alabama officer.

Racism has come out of the relative shadows and into broad daylight following the election of Donald Trump, and it seems like now even officers of the law feel emboldened to publicly share their bigoted views.
Police officer Joel Husk of Talladega, Alabama came under scrutiny last week when he shared a brutally racist meme featuring Michelle Obama on Facebook. "Fluent in Slovenian, English, French, Serbian and German," reads the caption on a picture of incoming First Lady Melania Trump. Meanwhile, on Michelle Obama's picture, it says "Fluent in Ghetto."
SMH.
Now, Husk has been fired from his position as a result. According to local News 6, City Manager Patrick Bryant had no choice but to act, and said that Husk has been fired. "We will not tolerate that kind of conduct by any employees. We take very seriously our responsibility to treat everyone equally and equitably. We have to make sure we take steps for the community to trust us," Bryant said.

See his racist posts below, and see how Twitter reacted to the offense.

  • Why would anyone think it's ok to post this on Facebook, especially a cop?

  • Twitter was quick to clap back:

It's hard to imagine this is the first time Husk has said or done something racist, but guess the viral nature of this latest offense made it necessary to take action. One can only imagine what other offenses he's committed against Black folks under full cover of his badge and uniform.
