Meagan Good Shares Which Celebrity She Would Hunt Vampires With

Good stars in Netflix's new film 'Day Shift' alongside Jamie Foxx.

Meagan Good and Jamie Foxx are slaying in the new Netflix film Day Shift, which follows Foxx’s character (Bud Jablonski) who is a hard-working blue-collar dad who just wants to provide a good life for his quick-witted daughter, but his mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is a front for his real source of income, hunting and killing vampires as part of an international Union of vampire hunters.

In addition to Good and Foxx, the film also stars Snoop Dogg and Dave Franco.

In this exclusive BET.com interview, we chatted with Good who shares how fun it was to film scenes with Foxx, and what’s in store for the second season of her hit show Harlem which recently wrapped.

BET.com: In this film, you are playing Jamie Foxx’s ex, Jocelyn Jablonski. We all know Jamie Foxx is a jokester, was it hard for you to keep a straight face with him in scenes and what was the best part about working with him on this film?

Meagan Good: Jamie is definitely a jokester [laughs] — he’s such a ball of energy but also a genuine human being. For me, every day was fun working with Jamie because you knew you were going to be around someone who loved what they were doing and love to have fun. You knew with [Jamie] you’re going to have someone who was going to make that energy on set always fun. Every day, it was like a dance party in between scenes. We would turn the music on whether it was old school music or new school and dance around. Foxx would go home and put a track together, bring it to the studio, and we would make songs together in the middle of filming. It was so much fun.

BET.com: There’s a scene where Jamie Foxx’s character finally reveals to you what he does for a living and of course, anyone would be taken aback and hard the process. What’s the most outrageous lie a guy has ever told you before because you know guys be lying?

Good: They do be lying [laughs]. There was a guy who said he didn’t know I was an actress and acted like he didn’t know who I was at all. I’m thinking that’s cool and I appreciated it. I found out from his friends he was a super fan. It was a little creepy.

BET.com: That’s a major red flag. Speaking of, what would someone have to do to get some of your energy and attention focused on them?

Good: I’m not too sure as of yet as it will take time for me to fully know, but I will say it would have to be spirit-led.

BET.com: If you had to have a partner to hunt vampires with, which celebrity are you taking with you along for the ride?

Good: Jamie Foxx…period [laughs]

BET.com: We can’t let you go before we ask about Harlem as it’s currently in production. Is there any fun guest stars we can expect for the next season?

Good: Well, I will say we are we actually just wrapped this morning as I just got here from New York. This season is fire and It's even better than last season — It's very, very spicy. I can't tell you who will guest star but I can tell you there are some really cool guest spots this year. I can just promise you that it's spicy — it starts with a bang and it ends with a shebang.

As we wait for the Amazon Prime series to return to our screens, you can enjoy Good in her new film Day Shift which is available for streaming now on Netflix.
