Brittany Daniel Named Ambassador for Gabrielle's Angel Foundation

The Game star is a survivor of stage IV non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Brittany Daniel has been named the newest Angel Ambassador for Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research. The Game star will help spread awareness about the importance of cancer research, a topic that hits close to home for Daniel because she's a cancer survivor herself.

Daniel was diagnosed with stage IV non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2011 and had to take a leave of absence from her role on the BET show. She revealed her story earlier this year and has been determined to help raise attention to the importance of cancer research and fundraising.

"I am excited and grateful to become an Angel Ambassador for Gabrielle's Angel Foundation," Daniel said. "I feel blessed to be a non-Hodgkin lymphoma survivor and to be able to help support such an uplifting and forward thinking organization that is helping to save lives and finding less toxic approaches to cancer treatment. I believe finding our way to, through, and to the other side of cancer in a graceful way is a possibility."
