It’s the Ru baby…well, grandbaby! Ja Rule revealed during an appearance on the “Sherri” show that his daughter, Brittney Aitken, is expecting her first child with her husband, Tevin Aitken, making Ja Rule a future grandpa.

"I'm about to be a grandfather," the 49-year-old rapper told “Sherri’s” audience. He then hilariously added, "It don't even sound right." 

He recounted how Brittney surprised him and his wife, Aisha, with a special gift: a box containing a sonogram and a card that said they were now grandparents. “It was very cute the way she did it,” he said of the “amazing moment.”

Ja is going to be a young grandfather, and because he’s just so cool, the moniker may not suit him. The father of three told Sherri he’s going to borrow from the legendary, late Brooklyn rapper Biggie. He said, “I think I’m going to steal my name from the Notorious B.I.G. … I love it when they call me Big Poppa.” 

Host, Sherri Shepherd gifted Big Poppa with a custom cardigan emblazoned with “Big Poppa,” which grandpa accepted with exuberant joy.

Brittney took to Instagram to share her excitement in becoming a mother and making Ja Rule a grandad. Congratulations to Ja and his growing family!
