Friday Night Kickback: Double the Danger, Twice the Thrills
For this week’s Friday Night Flicks, we are highlighting “The Deadly Getaway,” and “Deadly Intentions.” Both movies are suspenseful thrillers, and at least one has a plot twist that you might not see coming. Mark your calendars for Friday, April 25 starting at 8 p.m. ET, and keep reading to learn more about the double feature.
“The Deadly Getaway”
Airing: April 25
Yandy Smith-Harris makes her acting debut in “The Deadly Getaway.” She stars as a wife on what’s supposed to be a relaxing anniversary trip, until her ex “coincidentally” shows up and begins to complicate things with murderous potential.
Stars: Yandy Smith, Jason Weaver
Writers: Eric Dickens, Chad Quinn
Director: Charles Jones
Fun Fact: Princess Love Norwood is also in the film. Like Yandy, she also appears on the “Love and Hip-Hop” franchise.
“Deadly Intentions”
Airing: April 25
Two sisters lead double lives as valet attendants and burglars. They use their day job to find the targets for their heists. However, when they break into a house in the middle of what will inevitably be a murder, they end up becoming part of the sick killer’s game. Now they have to focus on surviving, but if they go to the police, that means they could get arrested too.
Stars: Jazmin Robinson, Deji Leray
Writers: Aveen Marandi, Courtney Miller, Tommy Miller
Director: Jalani Riley
Fun Fact: Don’t confuse this with the 1985 movie, with the same title, but a different plot.
