Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, has officially moved in and is ready to start her first semester at Spelman, a historically Black college, in the fall of 2022.
In a now-viral clip on Spelman College’s move-in day, Jolie is seen on the Atlanta campus with Spelman’s 11th president Dr. Helene Gayle, expressing how she feels now that her daughter is days away from her first day of college.
“I’m going to start crying,” Jolie said in a video snippet. “I’m holding it together.”
When asked how it feels to be a Spelman College mom, the Oscar-winning actress responded with a smile on her face, placing her hands on her heart to say “I’m so excited!”
On July 31, the actress took to her Instagram page to share the exciting news that Zahara was attending the HBCU.
“Zahara with her Spelman sisters! Congratulations to all new students starting this year,” she captioned her post. “A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl. #spelman #spelmancollege #spelmansisters #HBCU.”
An annual Spelman and Morehouse College (SpelHouse) send-off was held in Los Angeles, C.A., on July 30, alumni of both prestigious HBCUs were in attendance.
Jolie, who also was in attendance at the SpelHouse celebration, was seen doing the Electric Slide to Cameo’s “Candy,” while holding Zahara’s hand.
Zahara is one of Jolie and Pitt’s six children.
