Tina Knowles, Tisha Campbell, and Ruby Flores Honored at Bobbi Kristina’s Serenity House Sneaker Ball

Anthony Anderson hosted the 5th annual Celebration of Serenity as the organization raised awareness and support for survivors of domestic violence.

Bobbi Kristina’s Serenity House hosted its 5th Annual Celebration of Serenity Sneaker Ball, and this year’s event brought out the kind of star power that lit up the event.

Founded by Bobby Brown and Alicia Etheridge Brown, the organization’s annual gala boasted the Emmy Award-winning actor and comedian Anthony Anderson as host. The evening was equal parts celebration and call to action, honoring women whose work and influence have left a lasting mark on culture and community.

This year’s honorees included Tina Knowles, who received the Legacy Impact Award for her contributions to culture, fashion, and philanthropy; Tisha Campbell, who was recognized with the Thriver Award for her strength, resilience, and advocacy; and Los Angeles Deputy Chief Ruby Flores, who was honored with the Changemaker Award for her commitment to public service and community impact. The night spotlighted not just achievement, but the deeper meaning behind legacy, healing, and service.

The celebration took place at the Taglyan Complex and included a purple carpet entrance, an immersive Serenity Casino experience, dinner, live performances, and an award ceremony.

Bobbi Kristina’s Serenity House was created in memory of Bobbi Kristina Brown, the beloved daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, and continues to focus on eliminating domestic violence while supporting survivors. Through advocacy, education, crisis intervention, transitional housing, and counseling services, the nonprofit works to help individuals rebuild their lives with dignity and care. It also addresses related issues like homelessness and mental health, expanding its reach beyond immediate crisis support.

Over the years, the event has drawn support from names including Babyface, Johnny Gill, DL Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer, and Marla Gibbs. This year’s celebration welcomed another strong mix of entertainers, advocates, and community supporters with appearances from guests like Martin Lawrence, Deon Cole, Lil Rel Howery, Holly Robinson-Peete, Dawnn Lewis, Eric Benét, Faith Evans, and Rocsi Diaz.

At its core, the Sneaker Ball is more than a gala. It is a reminder that healing, legacy, and community care are all part of the same story.
