Don Cheadle’s Marvel Series ‘Armor Wars’ Will Now Be A Feature Film

The actor is expected to reprise his War Machine role.

Marvel’s six-episode Disney series “Armor Wars” is reportedly going to be turned into a movie.

According to Deadline, Don Cheadle is expected to reprise his role as War Machine, aka Colonel James Rhodes while Yassir Lester will continue with writing the film after doing so for the previous series.

Currently there is no director attached to the film, which also doesn’t have a release date. The series was first announced during Disney Investor Day in December 2020.

The “Armor Wars” storyline ran through Iron Man (Vol. 1) #225 (December 1987) to #231 (June 1988). The series, which is also dubbed “The Stark Wars,” Iron Man encounters the Spymaster, who steals the Stark technology. Iron Man also goes up against Force, which sets up the plot of “Armor Wars” in the following issues.
