Georgia Police Charged in Murder of Gregory Towns, Who Was Tasered to Death

Two Georgia police officers were charged with the murder of Gregory Towns, who was Tasered to death by cops during a 2014 arrest.

Gregory Towns's life was cut short when he was killed in 2014 during an arrest in which two Georgia police officers used a stun gun on him repeatedly. The cops involved have been charged with murder, manslaughter and aggravated assault, according to WMAZ.
The fatal incident took place in East Point after Cpl. Howard Weems and Sgt. Marcus Eberhart were called for a domestic violence dispute in April 2014. Towns reportedly ran from officers and fell into a creek, when cops Tasered him multiple times while he was handcuffed. Investigators say he was Ttasered at least six or more times.
In August, the victim's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against East Point Police.
