In a film that takes audiences from Kenya’s Maasai villages to the pulsing streets of Casablanca, Halle Berry and Djimon Hounsou star in “Red Card,” an upcoming thriller that deals with the real-life crisis of human trafficking.

Hounsou, a two-time Academy Award nominee, plays a highly experienced ranger who battles poachers in Kenya.

Emmy and Golden Globe awardee, Halle Berry, takes on the role of an FBI supervisor, who teams up with international law enforcement to fight trafficking syndicates.

According to Deadline, the film “Red Card,” an original story based on real events out of Africa, has been endorsed by the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children, an organization that “works with families, victims, private industry, law enforcement and the public to help find missing children, stop child sexual exploitation and prevent child victimization.” It is also backed by the Soloviev Foundation

In “Red Card,” Max, played by Hounsou, goes on a journey to find his son, who has been taken advantage of by an unscrupulous sports agent and who ends up disappearing into North Africa. As a parent, Max will stop at nothing to find his son.
