Lanvin Creates Dolls to Benefit HIV/AIDS Charity
Lanvin’s getting dolled up for a good cause. The French fashion house is launching a limited-edition collection of dolls that will raise money for women living with HIV/AIDS in Africa.
The dolls come in four designs and are dressed up in miniature versions of outfits from the brand’s upcoming luxury children’s collection, Lanvin Petite. Each fabric doll is hand-crafted and embroidered by a group of HIV-positive women living in Swaziland, and proceeds from sales of the dolls will help fund the work of Dessine l'espoir (Designing Hope), a charity that supports women affected by the disease in southern Africa and their families.
The luxe figurines retail for $350 and will be available in November, in Lanvin boutiques worldwide.
