Michelle Obama, Chris Paul And Angela Rye Kick Off 'When We All Vote' Rally In Houston
As the midterm elections quickly approach, When We All Vote headed to Houston to kick off their National Week of Action events.
When We All Vote co-chair and Houston Rocket Chris Paul spoke to hundreds of Houstonians at the Houston Texans YMCA about the power of their vote and why it’s important to get out to the polls. Paul was joined by CNN commentator Angela Rye, who got the crowd hyped with her call to action.
Chester Pitts, retired NFL lineman for the Houston Texans, also encouraged the crowd to vote in every election while Reda Hicks of the Houston Education Fund chapter of League of Women Voters' encouraged people to volunteer to help get folks registered.
To conclude the event, When We All Vote Co-Chair Michelle Obama released a video wherein she thanked Houstonians for joining forces with When We All Vote to get every American registered and ready to vote.
