The 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards saw viral moments, high-energy performances, stunning red carpet looks, and a dozen big winners. Miami-based producer DJ Scheme took home the “DJ of the Year,” beating out a hefty class of big DJs in the industry, including Chase B, D Nice, DJ Cassidy, DJ Drama, DJ Envy, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and Grammy award-winning musician Kaytranda.

J.I.D - “Surround Sound” feat. 21 Savage & Baby Tate
DJ Scheme serves as producer and writer on J.I.D’s January 2022 single “Surround Sound,” featuring 21 Savage and rising female emcee Baby Tate. The record was co-produced by Scheme, Christo, and Nuri and contains a sample of "One Step Ahead" by Aretha Franklin. The song will appear on his upcoming third studio album, The Forever Story.
IDK, JID, Kenny Mason & Dj Scheme - “Cereal”
IDK teams up with fellow rapper JID and Kenny Mason for this 2020 bass-heavy track with production by Scheme with co-productions from Christo and many more.

Joey Bada$$ & DJ Scheme - “Trust Nobody (2 My Brothers )”
Brooklyn native Joey Bada$$ and DJ Scheme teamed up for this December 2021 track “Trust Nobody” from the latter’s debut studio album, Family. As the song’s title suggests, the lyrics find Joey questioning other people’s intentions, as well as dealing with his own mental health.
