"House of Payne" is usually fun and games, but there’s always an underlying theme about the importance of good communication, no matter what. Last week was all about love languages. This week, we start the episode with Calvin on the phone making plans for his bachelor party. Laura walks in on it and clarifies that she doesn’t want him to have one. She was initially cool with it because she planned to have her own bachelorette shindig, but hearing his plans makes her nervous.

Meanwhile, Malik wants to surprise Malisa by putting together a dollhouse she’s excited about, but he can’t figure it out because the instructions aren’t in English. Jazmine witnesses a lot of this struggle and clowns him. Then CJ and Curtis see what’s happening and join Jazmine in making fun of him. Malik asks for help, and CJ And Uncle Curtis swear they can do it without instructions. Jazmine sweetens the deal by offering to buy the latter two dinners. Challenge accepted.

Back to Calvin. He ends up having respective conversations with Ella and Miranda and learns that they are on Laura’s side. Miranda, in particular, gave him a new perspective: that he should do things differently this next marriage go round. That’s enough to talk him out of his bachelor party. He has a heart-to-heart with Laura and explains his decision. She’s happy to hear this news and reveals that she went to her friend’s bachelorette party years ago, and the wedding never happened. The friend got super drunk and had too much fun with one of the strippers, implied subtext intended. After they talked things out, all is well in love land.

CJ and Curtis don’t have difficulty putting Malisa’s toy together. You already know that Malik and Jazmine got jokes. The OGs tap out and decide to get dinner anyway. They also force Malik to pay for it. Later, when they get home, they find the dollhouse complete and learn that Jazmine had put it together. She looked online for assistance like any shrewd person would do, and that’s that.
