Omarion Says He Will ‘Honor’ B2K Legacy, But Doesn’t Have ‘Relationship’ With Former Members

Omarion says there will always be an “honor system” among the former group.

It’s unlikely that we’ll see another B2K reunion.

Omarion, the lead singer of the former R&B boy band, was a guest on an episode of 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” last week, where he gave an update about B2K. The group last reunited in 2019 for the Millennium Tour, which fell apart completely for a follow-up installment from 2020 to 2021. While B2K wouldn’t return for the tour, headlining was Omarion and Bow Wow, with Ashanti, Sammie and Soulja Boy also appearing as guest openers. The tour will be revamped in March with Omarion, Bow Wow, and Trey Songz co-headlining, with special appearances like Plies, Boosie, and Ying Yang Twins also being made.

Around the 4-minute mark of the interview below, Omarion explained that the new tour was curated for a non-millennial “class.” It's kind of, I would say, a little bit different than the previous years,” he said.

Later in the interview, Omarion spoke about his relationship with former B2K members Raz-B, J Boog and Fizz. “I always will honor my group, my foundation and where I come from,” Omarion shared. “As far as personally, we don’t have a relationship.”

“I will say that Boog did come to one of my shows and we chopped it up so there will always be a type of love there,” he continued. “We grew up together, and we did something in all our lives that [no one else] did. So, I think there’s always an honor system there.”

The controversies involving the group members have been wide-ranging, from Fizz briefly dating Apryl Jones, the mother of Omarion’s two children, to Raz B alleging that their previous manager sexually assaulted him.

Before their disbanding, B2K was formed in 1998 on the now-defunct label TUG Entertainment roster. The group released three studio albums in 2002, their final being “Pandemonium!”
