Flirting for Tips

Kita likes to flirt at her job to bring in the bills, but is it really acceptable?

In tonight's episode of Let's Stay Together, Kita seems to be making the big bucks behind the bar because she flirts with and flatters her customers. But, ethically, is it okay to flirt in order to advance at work if advancing means getting some extra cash?

In big businesses, flirting to get ahead is not acceptable at all, but if you work in customer service, there really isn't anything wrong with being social and adding a bit of flattery here or there. Now, that doesn't mean that you forget to do your job and flirt for tips all of the time, but it also doesn't mean that you can't inflate someone's ego to ensure that they come to you for business time and time again.

Your flirting may go a bit to the left if the patron takes you seriously and thinks that you may seriously be interested in them, so make sure that you don't cross that very fine, and nearly invisible, line. With that said, tune into Let's Stay Together tonight at 10:30P/9:30C and see how Kita handles herself behind the bar.
