UPDATE: Racist Georgia Teacher Who Called Michelle Obama a Gorilla Fired

Jane Wood Allen has a history of racist social media rants.

A primary school teacher's aid in Forsythe County, Georgia, has been fired after she posted offensive Facebook captions about first lady Michelle Obama.

When Chestatee administrators were made aware of Jane Wood Allen's racist posts online, the school was on fall break. The school has since returned from break and school administrator's took swift action in deciding to fire the 27-year veteran of education.

Allen has a history of posting offensive message on social media. On a Facebook page dedicated to protesting the teacher, several screen shots of prior posts have been published.

One post features an article about Muslim Americans threatening to leave the United States if Donald Trump becomes president. Under the article, Allen commented, "Bye! Don't come back! You have no business in the USA anyway!"

Jane Wood Allen, a teacher at Chestatee Elementary School, has made several Facebook posts referring to Michelle Obama as a gorilla. Although her Facebook page has been removed, Forsythe County News reported that Allen has also made several anti-Muslim and anti-Hispanic posts.

In one post from August, Allen reposted an article titled, “First Lady Michelle Obama continues to top lists of most admired women in the world. Do you admire her?” Allen then wrote her own caption above the article:

“I admire a gorilla more than I admire her. (Wait I forgot, she is a gorilla)! If she was a real first lady, she would not have used and abused her title, by thinking she is entitled to go on all the trips that she takes every other day. But most of all, wasted all of our tax payers money. She is the worst example of a First Lady ever! (Oh sorry, I meant gorilla not First Lady)!”

Last week, Allen posted another disgraceful caption insulting the Michelle Obama. She posted an article from titled, “Outrage after Michelle Obama Slips Up…America Furious.” This time, Allen’s caption read:

“This poor Gorilla. How is she going to function in the real world, by not having her luxurious vacations paid for anymore? She needs to focus on getting a total make-over (especially the hair), instead of planning vacations!”

On Friday morning, the school district was made aware of Allen’s offensive posts.

“Our schools are closed for fall break this week. We have and will continue to address this issue with the employee next week,” said Jennifer Caracciolo, spokeswoman for the school district. “Racism and discrimination are not tolerated in Forsyth County Schools.”
