Drake Shaved His Beard Off, And People Are Losing It

Savages galore.

Published May 13, 2016

The Internet is a dangerous place, especially if you’re a megastar like Drake.

The Toronto native took to Instagram early this morning and revealed a pic of himself in a dark setting and suddenly without what has become his trademark beard. And since almost everyone’s a savage online, he of course got some reactions. Some of which included folks who were shocked, upset, glad and downright clowning.

A few others are even claiming that since Drizzy grew a beard his music has gotten “worse.” So maybe since losing it, his output will change in some way. You know, the superstitious types.

“Beard making an epic comeback in 2 weeks….only for you @nbcsnl,” Drizzy captioned in the now-deleted post. He is appearing on Saturday Night Live May 14, and has been known to create laughs when he guest stars, so there’s that. It also sounds like the beard will return for good when it does, and if he’s learned anything from this experiment it’s that he should probably keep it.

Check out a screengrab of Drake without his beard and social media’s reaction to it below.
