If you’ve been reading the tea leaves recently you’d know that a forthcoming Jay Z album is a strong possibility.
Well, if you ask Jermaine Dupri, he seems to think that not only is an album possible, it’s already done and has a title, all of which he knows. During a recent interview with B Dot and Elliott Wilson’s Rap Radar Podcast, Dupri spilled a few beans that are giving Hov fans some excitement right about now.
"Me and Jay have like, conversations that I'm sure he probably don't have with nobody else because you know, that's how we met each other," he prefaced before revealing some shocking info. “I know the name of Hov’s new album.... It might be done.”
Recently Jay’s been hopping on more songs than he had been during the past few years. He appeared on DJ Khaled’s summer smash it “I Got the Keys” as well as the Fat Joe and Remy Ma remix of “All the Way Up.” Even though JD knows the name of the album, he’s apparently being tight-lipped about it as he wouldn’t oblige any more info other than the fact that there is an album and it’s most likely done.
If the rumors are true, this would be Jay Z’s 13th solo studio album and first since 2013’s Magna Carta Holy Grail. Check out Jermaine Dupri’s interview segment about Hov’s new album below.
