R. Kelly Responds After Another Accuser Comes Forward With 'Brainwash' Claims

The R&B crooner has put his "Twitter fingers" to use.

Another day, another R. Kelly scandal. Over the past month, the "Pied Piper" of R&B has been at the center of sexual abuse allegations after a damning Buzzfeed report accused the singer of leading a "sex cult" with underage women. The newest accuser to come forward, however, may be the most damaging yet.

According to a new report published by Buzzfeed, a young woman by the name of Jerhonda Johnson claims Kelly took advantage of her back in 2008 ― when she was only 16 years old. Fresh off the heels of Kelly's infamous child pornography trial, Jerhonda was invited to meet with the "12 Play" singer in Chicago after being contacted by his team via Facebook. Shortly after, a sexual relationship ensued.

BuzzFeed reports Jerhonda received “cash settlements from the star in return for signing nondisclosure agreements." She claims he had strict rules in his house, which included only wearing baggy clothes, having to ask when to use the bathroom and not having access to a phone. If these rules were broken, she claims she was physically and mentally abused.

In 2010, she was able to escape Kelly when he caught her texting a friend and reportedly attacked her. She contacted an attorney, passed a lie detector test and took a settlement, which required her to agree to never talk about the case publicly. Jerhonda is breaking the agreement to speak out, and she is considering filing criminal charges against the singer.

In light of the disturbing allegations against him as well as an ongoing investigation, the R&B crooner made use of his Twitter fingers. On Tuesday morning (Aug. 22), Kelly shared a cryptic tweet with his followers. "They thought they could throw dirt to bury you not knowing you were a seed," he captioned a black-and-white photo that read, "you will shine."

"Keep Growing," he continued. "Keep Shining."

While Kelly has vehemently denied the accusations against him in the past, this is a rare response from the singer. Take a look at the tweet below.
