Lil Wayne Hospitalized After Suffering Multiple Seizures

Prayers up for Weezy.

Lil Wayne's ongoing bout with epilepsy has landed the rapper in the hospital yet again, after suffering from multiple seizures in a Chicago hotel room.

On Sunday (Sept. 3), the Young Money frontman was reportedly found unconcious and rushed to a local area hospital.

According to TMZ, Weezy was preparing for a show at a Las Vegas nightclub when he experienced a series of fits. Doctors at Northwestern Memorial advised against immediately releasing Tha Carter rapper due to his latest run of poor health. In light of the doctor's orders, Weezy's scheduled performance at Drai's Beachclub was cancelled.

“Lil Wayne and the entire Young Money / Maverick team are valued partners and members of the Drai's LIVE family,” the show’s promoters explained in a social media post. “Our priority is the health and well-being of our artists. Everyone at Drai's wishes Lil Wayne a speedy recovery during this time."

Last year, the New Orleans lyricist was hospitalized after suffering what was described as two minor seizures just days prior to a planned appearance at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles. And in 2013, Wayne spent a brief duration of time in an intensive care unit. “The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest, overworking myself. That’s just typical me though,” he told Power 106 at the time.

Since news of Wayne's hospitalization broke, there has been outpouring of love for the emcee from fans and others alike on social media. Check out some of the heartfelt posts below and keep your prayers up for Weezy.
