Yo Gotti Says The Beef With Young Dolph “Ain’t Real.” Here's Why

"I really don't think homie got no issue. I just think it's marketing."

Yo Gotti's long-standing beef with Young Dolph allegedly dates back to 2014, but if you ask the "Rake It Up" rapper he insists there's no bad blood between himself and the fellow Memphis artist.

During a recent sit-down with The Breakfast Club, Gotti addressed everything from his former business ties with Dolph to the rapper's near brush with death. According to the I Still Am rapper, he has "no issue" with Dolph and feels the spat is simply a marketing tool. "They take certain incidents and turn it into marketing and try to boost the sales," Gotti told Charlamagne Tha God, opting not to directly name Dolph. "You don't never see me speaking on that. I'm trying to stay away from it."

Gotti continued to deny there's any tension between himself and Dolph, even revealing that he once served as the rapper's mentor during the start of his career. "I was actually helping him at one point," Gotti said, "giving him advice, letting him come out on my shows, telling him how the game go."

As for ending the feud, Gotti couldn't exactly provide the radio hosts with a solid answer, but he did offer another interesting bit. "We never had one argument," he said. "We never touched each other, ever in life. We never exchanged no money, ever in life. The facts is just... I'm the biggest rapper from Memphis."

Gotti breaking his silence on the alleged feud arrives just two days after Dolph's in-depth interview with The Fader, in which he alleges the beef was sparked after he declined to sign with Gotti's CMG label. “They wanted me to fuck with them so bad when I first came in the game,” Dolph explained of Gotti and his affiliates. “Because they was in my city. Because they knew I had this money, they knew I had a campaign, they knew what I was getting ready to do just like I knew,” he added.
