Nicki Minaj Clears Up Conspiracy Theories Surrounding ‘Motorsport’

Did Migos really add Cardi B’s verse without Nicki Minaj’s approval?

Tons of conspiracy theories about how Nicki Minaj and Cardi B wound up collaborating on the Migos single, “Motorsport,” have been making it’s way around social media. Everything from Cardi B allegedly begging her fiance Offset for the feature to Nicki be unaware of Cardi’s appearance on the song has people wondering how the song actually came to be.

Nicki Minaj quickly took to social media spilling the tea on the song’s formation. “I was on the song w/Quavo. No one else was on it. He called & asked if I think we should put Bardi on it, I said “ok let’s do it.” The end,” she wrote. “Migos weren’t even on it yet. Just Quavo. The conspiracy theories r just so tired. Relax. Breathe. Imagine me not knowing who on a song w/me,” Nicki followed up.

Revealing just how involved she is in getting her features cleared Nicki added, “Anything w/my name on it gets approved by me. It can’t even go on a streaming service w/o me hearing it & giving written approval.”

Never one to overlook the double standards in hip hop music, Nicki Minaj concluded, “These are men in our culture who simply refuse to let it go. They don’t do this to male M.C.’s But yo #Motorsport #1 added on urban radio.”
